  1. Subject to the exceptions referred to in Section 21(2) of PDPA, you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.   1. We want to ensure that your Personal Information is accurate and up to date. If any of the information that you have provided to Silvester Legal changes, for example if you change your email address, name or contact number, please let us know the updated details by sending an email to info@silvesterlegal.com.
  2. Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request.
  3. We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. Should we not be able to respond to your request within thirty (30) days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing within thirty (30) days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to provide you with any personal data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA).
  4. We reserve the right to access and disclose your personal information where we believe this is permissible or necessary to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests, to operate its systems properly or to protect itself or its users.

 

Accuracy of Personal Data

  1. We generally rely on personal data provided by you (or your authorised representative). By submitting any personal data about yourself, you represent and warrant to us that the information is true and current to the best of your knowledge. Retention of Personal Data 

  1. We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted to by applicable laws. We will cease to retain your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the personal data was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.
  2. By using our services, you consent to that information being hosted on servers located in Singapore. The information stored with us remains within our control at all times.
  3. We have engaged third parties to host and store the data that you have provided to us. The hosting providers’ role is limited to providing a hosting and storage service to us. We do not disclose or transfer personal data collected under this Privacy Policy to third parties located overseas. In the event that we do transfer personal data to parties located overseas, we will ensure that the transferees will provide data protection to our users at least as favourable as we do.

 

Transfer of Personal Data outside of Singapore

  1. We generally do not transfer your personal data to countries outside of Singapore.
